Welcome to the December, 2022 Harmony Way Newsletter -- the final newsletter of the year!
This year, it feels like I blinked...and it was already December!
It is nearly 2023, another new year. This is a wonderful season to make as much time for reflection and self-care as possible, especially if you are having a stressful winter. Let go of anything that no longer serves your highest and best good, such as cleaning out a closet or re-examining your boundaries or any relationships/situations in your life that are not promoting support and growth.
It is also important to be patient and gentle with yourself and others as much as you are able this season, since many people are freshly grieving losses of family and friends from the past few years. This can be a challenging time for some. Whatever your December holds, I hope it brings you to a place of health and happiness in 2023. If you are celebrating any holidays this month, I hope you enjoy them!

This Month's Exercise Demo:
The "blogilates" routines are usually engaging workouts suitable for all levels of fitness, at least in my personal experience. If you like holiday music, this might be a fun way to change up your exercise routine and to keep moving through the season. It's a workout filled with festive tunes to enjoy wherever you can access YouTube. If you try it, I hope you love it. Happy holidays!
*Always check in with your medical health provider for advice and guidance before starting a new workout program, being mindful of any existing conditions or injuries that you have, discussing these with a qualified medical professional prior to trying any workout.
This Month's Wellness Article:
(From: Idea Health & Fitness Association)
The above article reveals an alarming and recent discovery.
As a fitness instructor, I spend much of my time wearing "athleisure" clothing for work. Upon finding out that most of these clothing items, some from well-known and trusted brands, contain dangerously high levels of BPA (Bisphenol A, an endocrine-disrupting, industrial chemical used to make plastics and other materials), I was horrified.
You should be concerned, too.
Though most of the companies involved in this (and there are too many to list here) are working on resolving this issue, most of us have already been exposed to this chemical via our exercise clothes, even if we diligently avoid BPA elsewhere in our lives. This toxin can affect our hormones in several ways. I urge you to do your own research from trusted, science-based sources, such as the above article, to learn more about this issue.
